Nick Anderman is a PhD student in Geography whose project is titled "Exploring the Colonial History of Maritime Logistics.” His research focuses on shipping logistics, specifically in the port of Los Angeles at Long Beach, and the CICI grant supported archival research. Lauren Bartone is a PhD student in Italian Studies whose project focused on the colonial history of botanical gardens and collections.
